"Plant the seeds and fertilize with patience".
Many years ago I planted a garden of more than enough. I wasn't very clear about what "enough" was to be in my life and so as I have become clearer and clearer I write down monthly targets of what I will do to get closer and closer.
So many times we set intentions, goals, or have dreams and not much happens to them. At least we can't see what's really happening with them. That's when most people give up and throw in the towel with the "why bother" attitude.
I teach my private clients a lot about "goals", intentions, desires, and systems. I do not like the word goal and use it just to communicate what it is that I mean in context. A goal is genuinely something that we aim at. The system is the way that we get to achieve or receive the thing that we really desire. So many people focus only on the "goal" and then use the old "SMART" steps approach. This method actually sets us up for failing.
We fail because by using the SMART approach we set up our steps as though it is all in our control.
Take, for instance, today. I wrote down several places to go, things to do, and then I looked at the list and said, "ummm, not today, not feeling it today". I redirected and worked through the abundance of inner energy that felt uncontrollable if I were to let it be.
It was such intense energy that needed to be redirected into constructive creation and finally after a trip to several cities and back I felt a much slower calm. I kept working on shifting it from swirling, fast, internal energy to an external release by riding my bike, walking, and constructive projects.
After much internal and external work I have been shown that this feeling was because I'm sooo close to something that I've been determined to reach. It's happening, it's right here and that was just me planting seeds and fertilizing with patience. Today's energy felt like it came out of the blue and really I was planting new seeds and pulling the weeds. I did not get frustrated and instead it was a place of clarity while getting out of my comfort zone leveling up. Phew what a ride this patience roller coaster was and I was sure tested today by wanting to just crawl out of my skin, which is just what I did. I played around in my visual garden getting into the feeling of what "more than enough" will be like as my garden grows and the harvest is ripening.
