“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
Sometimes the chronic pain that you feel is too much to bare so you have no choice, but to stay in bed. Other days you feel like a million bucks and wish you had more of those days. You, my friend, are able to experience the good/bad days because you hold on to hope that you can and will feel better. Most people work so hard and their bodies give them the report card that they have pushed it to the limits. Other times we receive mixed expert advice that isn't so expert with all of the social media doctors telling us to "try this, try that".
We usually do try anything because we find ourselves in a desperate state of mind looking for answers of relief. Something to help us feel better, less physically/mentally stressed, and able to do the simplest tasks without pain, aggravation, crying, or just feeling of overwhelm.
Regardless if your pain is from physical, emotional, mental, relationship, or financial you have some battle that you must have hope to go through. Without the hope then you will feel defeated. An ounce of hope carries you through the worst conditions, an ounce of hope will keep you alive when all of the facts say that you should not have made it this long, an ounce of hope will turn the most sour relationships into peace, an ounce of hope will help you see that this feeling can be transformed positively in the blink of an eye.
Taking consistent action has been one of the solutions to many problems that I've had. That includes receiving self-care and coaching sessions regularly. Often times we wait so long because we are feeling pretty good and just get so "busy" that we end up prioritizing the wrong things that simply keep us stuck. The action to improve our future seems so out of this world and unreachable that we do not even try to get ahead. It becomes the "why bother".
It does not matter if you are feeling good today, trying to maintain what you have, or recovering from some major set back, if you found something that worked once or even gave you the feeling of better, then set up time to do that again.
This is the same with physical pain or any other type of pain. For example, let's say you woke up one morning and had a stiff neck. You got a last minute 30 minute massage because that's all that was available and it helped. You were able to move your neck better and carry on with life quicker.
When you made the phone call then you were hopeful and willing to try this out. The solution that you have starts with hope and consistently doing the thing is one of the keys to reducing the explosions, the fires, the blow-ups, the whatever the pain looks and feels like to you. Just think if you could wake feeling amazing or even a little better than your previous wake-up. Just imagined how it would feel to take charge of your own life.
You So Got This.
