There is no question that our mind and the thoughts that go through it are linked to the sensations in our body. Often times if you actually took a moment to scan your body you would likely feel tension, pain, twinges, tightness, and so much more. Maybe you wouldn't even feel those things at all. What if you would actually sit still and feel how wonderful your body did feel? It's possible, but the sad truth is, "When the body is stressed, muscles tense up. Muscle tension is almost a reflex reaction to stress — the body's way of guarding against injury and pain." .
The muscle tension can live on for days, weeks, months. You may not even notice it because it has become your way of life for so long that it may be your "normal". What if you could start to reduce those warning signals and even be more flexible or energized? Recently in my private client sessions I started having them do a mini body scan. The purpose of this is to pay attention to where their symptoms of stress are trying to tell us something. When we are always on the go, too busy to get a massage, constantly multi-tasking, and our memory is weakening I want you to know you have a lot of signs that you may have no clue about. For this moment, I will challenge you to do a 4 Minute "Mindful Body Scan" and please comment with your results(it might help someone else).
